Patient First drives up standards in Hereford
Patient First continues to raise driving standards amongst its patient transfer teams by rolling out NVQ II Road Passenger Vehicle Driver training to the team working from its Hereford base.
Fifteen employees have been selected for the NVQ training through Kidderminster College, with the qualification providing a bespoke development programme for each one, ensuring maximum relevance for the organisation. Employees receiving the nationally recognised qualification can be identified through a lapel uniform badge highlighting the enhancement to their skills.
Vocational training is part of a regional and national strategy to raise skill levels in all industries and develop a culture of work based professional qualifications. These specialised road passenger vehicle driving qualifications are recognition of the high standards promoted and attained by Patient First staff.
Matt Larkin, Patient First’s Managing Director commented “To date over 70 staff have attained the NVQ level II qualification and this is a testament to the quality of the people we employ and the training they receive.
Achievement of this qualification acts as a real motivator for our drivers, and ultimately enhances both the efficiency of our service and the customer experience.”
